On 18th February, our enthusiastic Grade 3/4 students from Croydon Primary School headed out on an exciting excursion to explore the rich local history of our community!
As part of our Integrated Studies focus on Australian History, students visited the Croydon Historical Society Museum and the Croydon Library to dive into Croydon’s fascinating past.
At the museum, students explored historical artefacts, photographs, and stories that showcased how Croydon has changed over time. They loved discovering what school life, transport, and daily living looked like many years ago!
At the library, students had the opportunity to engage with local history resources and deepen their understanding of how communities grow and evolve.
This hands-on learning experience brought our classroom studies to life and helped students make meaningful connections between local history and the broader story of Australia.
A big thank you to the staff and volunteers who made the day so engaging and informative. We are so proud of our students for the curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm they showed throughout the excursion!
