Our Year 1/2 students had an incredible time during our Minibeast Visit!
One of the highlights of the day was witnessing a butterfly emerge from its cocoon, a rare and special experience that many of us had never seen before. Students also had the opportunity to feed butterflies inside the butterfly tent and bravely hold a spiny leaf insect.
Students explored a variety of fascinating minibeasts, examining them under microscopes and insect viewers. They even scooped up crickets to observe their body parts up close! Students also got creative by making warning bracelets and crafting their own minibeasts using plasticine.
It was a fun-filled day of discovery, hands-on learning, and wonder as we explored the amazing world of minibeasts!
