Our Year 5/6 students worked collaboratively to design, build and test a bridge that would span 40 cms and hold a toy car. We allowed 5 sheets of A3 paper and 1 metre of masking tape. We were exploring paper as a building material. After testing if the bridges could hold one car, we went on to see which design could hold the most cars. The strongest bridge could hold 16 toy cars.
