The National History Challenge is an exciting contest that encourages students to use research and inquiry-based learning to discover more about the past. Students are the historians. They investigate to consider ideas throughout history and utilise both primary and secondary sources to complete their presentation.

Eight of our grade three and four students (Mia, Khatpi, Bawi, Yu Poe, Angel, Beth, Sang and Ava) were involved in the National History Challenge this year. The topic was People and Power. Students completed research presentation on topics ranging from Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt to Napoleon Bonaparte and The British Empire.

We are proud to announce that Yu Poe and Bawi have been chosen to move on to the State Final. Judging took place at Melbourne Boys Grammar School on Sunday, Sept. 15th. Congratulations to all involved and good luck Yu Poe and Bawi!
