Coding and 3D Printing

Coding education is conducted at every year level starting in Prep.

‘Bee-bots’ are used in the junior school to understand the simple coding instructions needed to navigate around a course.

In Year 3 – 6 students further develop their coding skills using ‘Spheros’. The spherical design of the ‘Sphero’ requires additional skills to control, as well as additional features and a wider range of coding elements to consider.

Our 3D printers also develop in the students an understanding of scale, design and programming to produce their model. Year 3/4 students created their own “Flinders Street Stations” to add to the Melbourne unit they were working on.
